“Chris Harrison Shows Up Only When There's Something Strange Going On” While discussing “The Bachelor” with friends this weekend, we discovered something unnerving about Emily (“Epidemiologist”): Though she is currently a University of North Carolina Chapel Hill PhD student, she went to Duke University for her undergraduate degree. What kind of person does that?! This week, the ladies travel to Panama City - a tropical destination with beach water that rivals the clarity of Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

Matt Tilley said that his goal Saturday was to have a little fun. Unfortunately for visiting Mount St. Joseph, it turned out to be anything but fun. Tilley hit a two-run homer on a 2-0 pitch to cap a four-run seventh inning comeback for Gilman and give the Greyhounds a 9-8 victory over Mount St. Joseph in the semifinals of the President's Cup at Johns Hopkins. The Greyhounds (13-5) advance to Saturday's championship game to face Archbishop Curley (6-3) at 1 p.m. at Camden Yards.

Tonight the 2012 Bachelor series trifecta comes to an end with what Chris Harrison describes as the "most shocking and most disturbing 'Bachelor Pad' finale. " We've laughed and we've cried (because we were laughing so hard), but we couldn't be happier to say goodbye to these fools. Ray Lewis would be ashamed if he knew what we were doing right now. We currently have two televisions set up in our living room -- one on mute with the Ravens game and the other with "Bachelor Pad. " We can't wait to see who wins on both screens!

This season seems shorter than usual, which we suppose can be attributed to Emily's quick dismissal of any dude that remotely dislikes children. We probably wouldn't be friends with her -- we dislike most children we meet. This week Emily joins the final three bachelors, Jef with one f, Arie ("Speed Racer") and Sean ("Biceps"), in Curacao. Private island date Sarah: Finally the producers take control of date planning. Emily and Sean take a helicopter ride to a private island, snorkel and then enjoy a dinner on the beach with hundreds of couch pillows.

"Bachelor Pad's" second to last episode was last night. While thrilled that "Bachelor Pad" was the perfect segue between the Summer Olympics and football, we're none to happy about the scheduling of the finale -- the same time as the Ravens' first game. The amount of crying and open mouth stares on this week's previews can only mean that the apocalypse has hit. Turns out, it's just another twist. Shocker! More twists! Sarah: The apocalyptic stares from the preview were actually the contestants seeing the challenge for the first time -- a giant crane-like contraption with seats dangling over the pool.

It's hard to focus on tonight's "Bachelor Pad" while we are eagerly awaiting ABC to confirm Olympic gold medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte as the next Bachelor. And this isn't a pipe dream like our " Make Chris Harrison the Next Bachelor " Facebook group. A few days ago, Lochte let slip to Matt Lauer on"Today" that he wanted to be the next Bachelor and appear on "Dancing with the Stars. "  Is he a good candidate? Well, he's single and famous. Without the gold medals, he's just like Bachelor Brad without the southern accent.

The police-procedural/crime thriller has been done to death, so to speak. Where do you go from there? In the case of Out of Time, you simply bring the genre up to date. With a screenplay that feels like it came from a novel and didn't (it's the first feature script by Dave Collard), Carl Franklin creates high tension via the very aspects of modern investigation that should prevent him from doing exactly that. In real-life crime fighting, the fugitive has lost a lot of his edge, aka his privacy/anonymity (and haven't we all)

We may have bigger problems than being fans of "The Bachelor" series, watching it every week and writing this blog. "The Bachelor Pad" is now consuming our random thoughts. Questions like, "do these people have full time jobs?" come to mind while I'm in the shower. Chris thinks on the toilet, "how can I become a luxury brand consultant?" After a serious debate of these questions and more, we're still perplexed as to why grown-ass men and women taking part in reality television (when less than a million dollars and/or a recording contract is on the line)
