Elkridge/Jessup Patuxent Road, 8300 block, 2:51 a.m. April 6. Entry gained to Sunbelle Produce by breaking front glass window. Television stolen. Old Washington Road and Route 1, 9:20 p.m. April 5. Disabled Chevrolet van in roadway struck from behind by Toyota van. Subjects in Chevy van exited truck and assault driver in Toyota van. Passengers in third car that stopped to call 911 were also assaulted by Chevy occupants.

Howard County police are investigating a two-car collision Monday night in Ellicott City, caused, police say, when a Woodbine man drove into on-coming traffic.Ronald Bernard Carter, 58, of the 1700 block of Daisy Road was westbound on Rogers Avenue near Orchard Avenue about 9 p.m. when his 1990 Cadillac crossed the center line and drove into the path of an eastbound 1989 Chevrolet van, a police report said.When the vehicles collided, Carter's car rolled down a small embankment into a wooded area south of Rogers Avenue, police said.

A 28-year-old man was found fatally shot inside a van Sunday night in West Baltimore, according to police. Officers responding to a call for shots fired about 11:35 p.m. in the first block of N. Calverton Road found the man slumped over inside a 2001 Chevrolet van, police said. The man, identified as Antonio Wilson of the 3800 block of Edmondson Ave., was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead about 30 minutes later. It was not clear how police were led to the body, and detectives had no suspects and had yet to determine a motive.

A Glen Burnie woman was fatally struck by a van Tuesday night while trying to cross a road in Dundalk, according to Baltimore County police. Audrey Cavanaugh, 73, of the 1700 block of Pleasantville Drive was crossing Wise Avenue near Midway Avenue about 8:52 p.m. when she stepped into the path of a 1995 Chevrolet van, said Cpl. Mike Hill, a police spokesman. Cavanaugh was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the van, Michael Henderson, 58, of the 400 block of Trappe Road in Dundalk, stopped after the collision and remained at the scene, Hill said.

A Linthicum man and a 16-year-old girl were arrested Sunday after police found drugs and alcohol in the van they were in, county police said.Officer James R. Haskell stopped a Chevrolet van after it pulled onto Route 648 without stopping from a Shell gas station at Camp Meade Road shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.Officer Haskell smelled alcohol on tha man's breath and marijuana in the car, police said.When asked about the marijuana, the driver said he had just dropped off some friends who had been smoking in the back of the van, police said.

Police said a similar Dodge van reported stolen from Alexandria, Va., was recovered nearby.9400 block of Woodsong Court: A resident reported seeing a prowler looking in the front window of a home just after midnight Sunday, police said.
