THE FALL SEASON officially arrives this weekend.Kick off the day early tomorrow with an all-you-can-eat breakfast at Magothy Chelsea Community Lutheran Church, Third Street and Beach Avenue in Magothy Beach.The Ladies Guild will serve eggs any style, pancakes, creamed chipped beef, French toast, sausage, home-style potatoes, toast, biscuits, juice, fruit and beverages from 7 a.m. to 10: 30 a.m.The cost is $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under age 3 are admitted free.

If you walk down the halls of Chesapeake Senior High School, you can hear strains of Hebrew and Norwegian mixing with the clatter of lunch trays and the pounding of typewriters.The international dialects aren't coming from foreign language laboratories, however, but from the choral music room, where Karen Rhodes and 50 members of the school's show choir practice every day, singing "Erev Shel Shoshanim" and "Pal Pa Haugen."The choir, one of five in the school's choral music program, is preparing the Israeli and Norwegian folk tales for the county choir festival today.

A second girl has run afoul of the Baltimore County public school policy that requires automatic expulsion for possession of pepper spray.Kelly Butcher, a 13-year-old eighth-grader at Pikesville Middle School, was expelled in early April after a classmate picked up Kelly's key chain, shook the small canister attached to it and sprayed it to see if anything was in it, Kelly's family said yesterday.The circumstances were remarkably similar to those that led to the expulsion last month of Jodie Ulrich, a 17-year-old junior at Chesapeake High School in Essex.

PERFECT SPRING weather has been ordered for tomorrow's opening day festivities for young players on the Lake Shore Youth Baseball (LSYB) teams.More than 750 youngsters and their coaches will parade through Lake Shore Athletic Complex on Woods Road at 9 a.m.Joining the youngsters in their annual rite will be community and school groups, including the Chesapeake High School baseball team. Grand marshal duties will be performed by WJZ-TV's sports anchor, John Buren.After a brief ceremony at the complex, opening day games will begin at 11 a.m.Food and refreshments will be on sale throughout the day."

Flickering lights, a malfunctioning sound system, and tattered curtains.Those are a few of the items the Chesapeake Senior High School Theater Group wants to replace in the school theater. But each comes with a hefty price tag; $6,000 for a light board, $8,000 for a sound system and $3,700 for stage curtains.To help raise some of that money, the group is sponsoring a Fabulous '50s Dance from 7 p.m. to 10: 30 p.m. April 26 at the high school. Music will be provided by the Fabulous Hubcaps, a seven-member oldies band that played for President Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton in July at the White House.

A 3-year-old Glen Burnie boy choked to death on a hot dog yesterday while attending a Chesapeake High School basketball game with his grandmother, Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials said.Taylor Jones was not breathing when he arrived at North Arundel Hospital at 6:34 p.m., about an hour after he began choking in the Pasadena high school's gymnasium, fire officials said. After treating the child for cardiac arrest, doctors pronounced the boy dead at 7:34 p.m.Taylor Jones attended the afternoon basketball game, matching Chesapeake High School against Old Mill High School, with his grandmother.

Visit the third annual autumn fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow at Chesapeake High School.The event, sponsored by the Chesapeake High School Band Boosters, features one-stop shopping for fall decorating supplies, plus family-style fun, food and entertainment.All ages will enjoy visiting the pumpkin patch or creating a scarecrow to take home. Fall mums, cornstalks, Indian corn, gourds and pumpkins will be for sale.Youngsters can ride a pony, meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, watch fire department and police K-9 demonstrations, or defy gravity in the moon bounce.
