Spa Week is back from Monday, April 11 to Sunday, April 17, with $50 treatments at a number of Baltimore-area salons and spas.  There are 10 businesses participating in Baltimore and its suburbs, although you'll have even more opportunities if you're willing to venture down to the DC area. Options include an hour-long "rosemary mint awakening body treatment" at Visual Changes Salon and Spa in Ellicott City, a 90-minute spa manicure and pedicure with paraffin dip at Deja Vu Salon and Spa in Kingsville or a "shellac gel with paraffin spa manicure" at Zina's Day Spa . To book one of these or any others, you'll have to call the salon or spa directly and make an appointment.

Aerosmith is going on tour again this summer. The Global Warming tour, which was announced Monday, is the band's first North American trek in two years. Jiffy Lube Live is getting the show July 3. Cheap Trick is opening.  Unlike their contemporaries Van Halen, the band doesn't have a new album to plug. In fact, they haven't released new studio material in eight years, since "Honkin on Bobo. " While they've stayed on the road, they've mainly played South America and Europe in the course of the last two years.

Liquidation of Borders stores could begin Friday , but shoppers should keep some things in mind before going crazy. Definitely, if you've been hanging on to some gift cards to either Borders or Waldenbooks, better use them up right away. And although we always love a bargain, remember that the savings may not actually be that spectacular. Consumer Reports investigations of sales after Circuit City closed found products were cheaper elsewhere. If you have a smart phone, consider downloading a price comparison app so you can scan bar codes of books and other items to see how prices elsewhere on the same item stack up. One last thing: if you own a Kobo ereader that you purchased from Borders, be sure to transfer your Borders library to a Kobo eBook library asap . Borders sent out an email Wednesday that offered a sweepstakes promotion to motivate folks to take that step.

Michelle's posts about how many major airlines have raised their prices after the FAA stopped collecting airfare taxes just makes my blood boil. But that information offers a good reminder that monitoring the price of tickets can pay off, even after they have been purchased. Some airlines will refund or offer credits toward future purchases if a fare decreases in price after you buy it --- even if it is technically a 'nonrefundable' fare. Via Consumerist , I found a list on Airfarewatchdog.com of the airlines that do, including the change fees they charge and the form of the refund.
