Chatman (nee Fulmer), devoted father of Raymond Chatman, Jr. and Grace Haines, cherished grandfather of Amanda Haines, dear brother of Donald Chatman and the late Betty Chatman and Florence Kugel. Friends may call at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel - Bel Air, 3 Newport Dr. (Rts. 23 & 24 - Forest Hill), on Wednesday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held 11 A.M., Thursday. Interment will be private.

Also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Tresa B. Brothers, one daughter-in-law, Sharon B. Chatman; devoted godsons, Monroe Gilliam and Robert Mason; devoted friend Eula Anderson; devoted cousins, Charles and Sylvia Adams. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Hartford, Conn. -- The toughest question facing LSU women's basketball coach Pokey Chatman now is: Who's going to replace All-America point guard Temeka Johnson? For some coaches, this might be a difficult problem. But compared with what Chatman had to deal with in previous months, it wasn't a big deal. For example: How am I going to help 23 family members displaced by Hurricane Katrina? Or, how do we deal with the fact that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has taken over our locker room and our arena has turned into a triage center where people are dying?
