On January 30, 2004, EDWARD O. ULRICH SR., beloved husband of Catherine B. Ulrich; devoted father of Edward O. Ulrich Jr. and his wife Bonnie. On June 18, 2003, MARY JANE BLATTAU, of Catonsville, Md., beloved wife of the late Col. Philip J. Blattau, loving mother of Charles Davis Hogendorp Jr., and Susan Hogendrop Youngs. Devoted grandmother of Niki Melissa Christine Hogendrop and Charles Robert Hogendrop. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, 1 P.M. at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, Charlestown Retirement Community. On February 12, 2007, VERNA BEE MUSSELMAN, 98; beloved wife of the late Harold G. Musselman; devoted mother of Carol (Donald) Carew and Lloyd K. (Nancy) Musselman; loving grandmother of Donna O'Connor, Susan (Caz) Wondoloski, David (Ashley) Musselman and Katy Musselman; dear great-grandmother of Christina and Edward, Sean, Halsey and Harper. Deepan Patel has waited tables and worked in a buffet serving line for more than two years at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville.He also attends Catonsville Community College -- with the assistance of the residents he serves.The residents get a little emotional about the students who are among the 850 employees at Charlestown and who, they say, make life a little more pleasant for them.They support their feelings with cash by contributing to the students' education through a scholarship fund that has raised more than $200,000 in less than six years.

LaRue Love Weimer, 88, longtime EPA secretary LaRue Love Weimer, a longtime secretary who worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, died of a stroke Tuesday at the Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, where she had lived since 1989. She was 88. Born LaRue Love McFadden and raised in Elizabeth Township, Pa., she was a graduate of McKeesport High School in Pennsylvania. She married Clifford E. Weimer in 1933 and moved to Washington a year later. Mr. Weimer, who worked for what was then the Veterans Administration, died in 1983.

On November 27, 2006, GORDON JAMES, loving father of Joan Arsenault. He is survived also by Harry Lang, Bertha Johnson and Dolores Kramer. Friends may call from Noon to 1 P.M. on Saturday in OUR LADY OF ANGELS CHAPEL IN CHARLESTOWN, 707 Maiden Choice Lane, at which time Service will take place. Interment in Lorraine Park.
