Girl, 16, is charged in stabbing of grandfather A 16-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after police said she stabbed her grandfather in the back six times during an argument. On Nov. 19, Iesha Haynes, of the 2500 block of Loyola Southway, is said to have become enraged when confronted about an incident in which the back door of her grandmother's home was kicked in. Police say she punched her grandmother, Marion Odemena, in the face repeatedly, then directed the attacks to her grandfather, Ernest Morris, after he tried to pull them apart.

WHITE MARSH -- The father of a White Marsh girl who was seriously wounded while playing with a handgun was charged yesterday with failing to store the gun out of the child's reach, police said.The charge against Phillip Weaver Jr., 23, came two days after his 3 1/2 -year-old-daughter, Asia Antoinette Weaver, underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to her midsection.The girl -- who, according to police, shot herself after finding her father's .45-caliber handgun under his bed -- was in fair condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

A prominent Ellicott City blogger and businessman was stabbed to death by his daughter's 19-year-old boyfriend, who plotted with the 14-year-old girl to kill him so the two could run away together, Howard County police said Friday. Dennis Lane, 58, was found before dawn in his Winding Ross Way home. Police charged Jason Anthony Bulmer and Morgan Lane Arnold, both students at Mount Hebron High School, as adults in his killing; they both face conspiracy and murder counts. Both were held without bail, according to online court records.

Anne Arundel County police have charged a 22-year-old Severn woman with assault and drug possession. Stacie Nashae Beauford was arrested Tuesday at her home in the 1700 block of Richfield Drive in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man, reported at 3:40 p.m. the same afternoon. The assault occurred during an argument at the residence, police said. During the arrest, police discovered, in plain sight, more than $12,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and marijuana. Beauford faces first- and second-degree assault charges, as well as reckless endangerment and possession, manufacturing and distribution of controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia.

A 19-year-old man has been charged after Aberdeen Police say he stabbed his father in the chest with a knife outside an Aberdeen shopping center Wednesday afternoon. Joseph Thomas Waters IV of Aberdeen was held on $500,000 bail on charges including assault, reckless endangerment and concealing a deadly weapon, according to online court records. Officers were called at 3:47 p.m. to the Aberdeen Shopping Plaza, off Route 40, where they found Joseph Thomas Waters III with a stab wound in his chest, said Aberdeen Police spokesman Lt. Fred Budnick.

Baltimore County police charged two teenagers in the Thursday night stabbing incident near the Buffalo Wild Wings outside White Marsh Mall. Police charged Deveran McCoy Fowlkes, 17, of the 3500 block Moultree Place in Carney and Jerome Wesley Brisueno, 18, of the 100 block of Alberge Lane in Chase, according to a news release. Officers responding at 9:29 p.m. Thursday for a report of a fight found an 18-year-old man suffering from a stab wound that was not life-threatening.

Anne Arundel County police arrested and charged Sunday a 22-year-old man with first-and second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a woman in a Pasadena parking lot Saturday. Police charged Francis Eugene Adams, of Severna Park, in the death of Debra Lynn Gill, 52, who died Saturday at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after suffering several stab wounds. Gill and a 25-year-old man were attacked in parking lot on Corkberry Lane in what police say appeared to be a robbery.
