Carroll Lutheran Village appoints office managerPatricia Morrill of Westminster has been hired as office manager for Carroll Lutheran Village.Her duties will be to organize her staff's workload, supervise clerical staff and receptionists, order supplies and materials and oversee her department's budget.Former secretary to the Village chaplain, Morrill has six years' experience as a support staff member and office manager.She is married to the Rev. John Morrill, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church.

On March 18, 2006, CLAIRE A. MORTON, of Westminster; beloved wife of the late Allen A. Morton; devoted mother of Garry Day and his wife Diana; dear sister of Jessie Cone, Cleo O'Kane and Freda Teschendorf; loving grandmother of Michael Day and Terri Tarbert. Also survived by four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ralph Clark, Ruby Bennett and Olive Coe. On November 28, 2004, HELEN (nee Hoffses) LORD, age 107, of Baltimore died Sunday, at the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Born on April 25, 1897 in Waltham, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Capt. William E. Lord who died in January of 1944. She is survived by four children, Virginia Keim of Accokeek, MD, William E. Lord, Jr. of Baltimore, Roberta Gunter of Red Lion, PA and Patrica Spicer of Frederick, MD. Also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Lutheran Village names health care directorCarroll Lutheran Village has appointed Teresa Donofrio Snyder as interim director of the Health Care Center.A licensed nursing home administrator, she has worked at Carroll Lutheran Village 10 years. Her most recent management position was as director of resident services for the independent-living program.In her new role, Snyder will supervise the daily care of the Health Care Center's 99 residents.She also will continue as a member of the Assisted Living Planning Team that is working toward a major expansion and renovation for the village.

Moores acting executive director effective Sept. 1.Mr. Moores, a certified public accountant, has been director of finance since 1989 and will also continue to perform those nTC duties. The board has named a search committee to begin the process of receiving resumes and evaluating candidates for executive director.Carla E. Mille has assumed the duties of director of nursing at the Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center, a 99-bed skilled-care facility in Westminster.
