Amanda Robinson scored 16 points and the host UMBC women's basketball team won its third straight, a 63-37 decision over Binghamton last night. The Retrievers (11-8, 3-5 America East) produced a 32-3 run from midway in the first half to the opening minutes of the second. The Bearcats (12-7, 5-3) committed 21 turnovers and were outscored 34-8 on turnovers. Binghamton finished with a season-low 37 points on 29.2 percent shooting from the field. York 68, Goucher 51 -- Shadae Swan led all scorers with 17 points, but the host Gophers (6-9, 2-7 Capital Athletic Conference)

Senior Allison Evans and sophomore Morgan Watkins combined for 16 points for William and Mary, leading the Tribe to an 18-10 win over Towson in the Colonial Athletic Association regular-season finale for both teams yesterday at Towson Stadium. The Tribe (3-13, 2-5) finished in sixth place in the conference, one spot ahead of the Tigers, who fell to 7-7, 1-6. College of Notre Dame 18, Chestnut Hill 4: Junior Lori Baran scored five goals in the first 17 minutes, helping the Gators (6-7, 3-0)

The Greyhounds completed their Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference slate with last night's 67-53 win over Siena, and they will use St. Mary's as a warm-up for Saturday's tournament opener against Canisius. The Seahawks went 5-9 in the Capital Athletic Conference in the regular season, then upset Goucher, 87-79, in the first round of the tournament before losing to Salisbury State.

Army's Jack Emmer became the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division I men's lacrosse history with his 301st victory yesterday, a 17-14 win over Lehigh yesterday in West Point, N.Y. John Ryan's five goals helped Army (4-4, 2-0 Patriot League) end a three-game skid. The Mountain Hawks are 4-5, 1-1. Army registered three of the game's last four scores to break open a one-goal contest in the final 10 minutes. The Black Knights had opened up as much as a five-goal lead early in the second half, but Lehigh crawled back into contention.

Carlos Moreira and Jackson Atoyebi each scored 11 points to lead host Elon past UMES, 54-51, in men's basketball last night at Alumni Gym in Elon, N.C. The Phoenix (5-10) tied the game with 3:25 left on Montell Watson's layup and then went on a 7-0 scoring run to win it. Moreira hit a three-pointer and Matt Nowlin made two free throws in the final minutes. The Hawks (1-10) had scored seven straight to pull within 23-20, before Elon used a 10-2 scoring run for a 33-22 edge with 1:06 before the half.

Adrianne Ross scored 21 points to lead four players in double figures as Texas Christian defeated Coppin State, 85-55, last night at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, concluding the Eagles' two-game swing through Texas. The Eagles lost, 61-58, to Southern Methodist on Thursday, but TCU dominated the Eagles from the outset. TCU (4-5) shot 61.3 percent from the field in the first half on its way to a 48-17 lead at halftime while limiting Coppin State to 21.9 percent shooting. The Eagles (4-7) shot 55.9 percent from the field in the second half but never got closer than the final margin.
