This feature appears every week on the Baltimore Sports Blitz. It's just like “What They're Saying About the Ravens,” but it includes blogger Matt Vensel saying something about what those people are saying. Got it? --- Don Banks of Sports Illustrated wonders if the Ravens used up the rest of their magic on 4th-and-29 . “The Ravens are failing every test in December so far, miserably. Baltimore is injury-depleted and grasping for answers on defense, and nothing about last week's firing of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and the elevation of quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell to the post did anything to fix the team's offensive issues,” he wrote.

As a Baltimorean and Ravens fan, I am disheartened by the fact that so much attention is being given to the dismissal of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and so little attention to Terrell Suggs' alleged domestic abuse troubles ("Suggs, fiancee reach court agreement," Dec. 12). John Harbaugh has held various press conferences to explain the organization's position regarding the dismissal of Mr. Cameron and the future expectations for the team. However, he has yet to publicly condemn domestic abuse and state that the Ravens will not tolerate such behavior by their players.

The Ravens seemed confident after getting blown out by the Denver Broncos on Sunday, but you have to wonder if it was just for public consumption or if it wasreal. After losing three straight, there are questions about the coaching staff and if they can regain momentum going into the postseason and if quarterback Joe Flacco can still lead this team. When the Ravens fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron nearly a week ago it didn't provide a spark for the team, and the Ravens showed no improvement against the Broncos.

The Ravens' first goal every season is to make it to the playoffs so in that sense, Sunday wasn't as big of a disaster as it once appeared. But the manner in which it happened leaves plenty of questions about whether the Ravens will be able to accomplish their other goals, which go far beyond just qualifying for the postseason. Long after the last player had filtered out of M&T Bank Stadium following a humbling 34-17 loss against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, the Ravens (9-5) got an early Christmas gift when the Pittsburgh Steelers were beaten in overtime by the Dallas Cowboys.

Jim Caldwell's debut as the Ravens offensive coordinator did not go swimmingly as the offense went three-and-out in its first five possessions and didn't record a first down until midway through the second quarter en route to the Ravens' 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday. A good portion of the post-game questions centered on the offense's transition to Caldwell, who succeeded Cam Cameron after he was fired a week ago. Tight end Dennis Pitta conceded that the upheaval in the coaching staff last week gave way to a period of adjustment for the players.

The Ravens say they're not panicking, but the alert level has to be up around Defcon 4 after this one. Heading into the final two games of the regular-season, they now find themselves with an offense that looks lost and a quarterback who seems to be leaking confidence. Not exactly a great way to go into the playoffs. When this embarrassing 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos was over Sunday, John Harbaugh offered some brave talk. But in light of how thoroughly the Ravens were dominated, it rang hollow.

Whitney Collins' head hung low Sunday as he walked down South Charles Street in Federal Hill in his purple Ed Reed jersey. He had abandoned his pricey seat at M&T Bank Stadium more than 10 minutes before the Ravens game had ended to numb the pain of a lopsided loss in a nearby vodka bar. "I said, 'Forget this,'" he said. "I'm going to watch it at the Stalking Horse so I can drink more. " Monday, he said, loomed like a thorn patch, taking an already bruised ego after Baltimore's 34-17 drubbing from the Denver Broncos, and rubbing it raw with taunts he expects in his U.S. Navy office in Washington.

John Harbaugh has gone to the playoffs in each of his first four seasons as head coach, but now is his time for greatness. The Ravens have lost three straight including a humiliating 34-17 loss to Denver on Sunday, and they are on the verge of one of the greatest collapses in NFL history. It's Harbaugh time. If he wants to take that next step and move into the top echelon of coaching with a Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin or a Mike Tomlin, he has to find a way to rally the Ravens.

Throws that were wild and off-target. Runs stopped not very far from the line of scrimmage. Blocking that appeared non-existent. Not much seemed to change between the game plan called by former offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and the one crafted by his successor, Jim Caldwell for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. The same offense that scored 29 points in back-to-back wins against the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers and fizzled in the fourth quarters of successive losses to the Steelers and Washington Redskins re-appeared in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Broncos at M&T Bank Stadium.

Baltimore Sun staff members analyze the Ravens' loss to the Denver Broncos at M&T Bank Stadium. Jeff Zrebiec, reporter: Let there be no doubt now. The Ravens are officially in trouble. Their defense has far too many injuries and far too many players not playing up to their ability. Their offense is a total mess and has no rhythm whatsoever, thanks in part to an offensive line that is just getting overmatched on a weekly basis. And then there's Joe Flacco, who has become the team's biggest concern.
