When Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was asked whether Joe Flacco and the rest of the offense fully grasp his system yet, his answer was pretty interesting. He basically said "no" and that he doesn't expect them to ever have a total handle on it. ( For more, go to baltimoresun.com/schmuckblog)

Jamison Hensley Dolphins, 13-10 If the Ravens couldn't beat Cleo Lemon last year, they won't beat Chad Pennington this time. David Steele Ravens, 24-20 Both teams will run. The Ravens will stop the run better. Edward Lee Dolphins, 16-10 Cam Cameron will learn how it feels to be on the other end of a Ravens-Dolphins meeting. Peter Schmuck Ravens, 20-9 Perfect time and place for the Ravens' first road win in a year. Ken Murray Ravens, 24-17 Another losing streak into Miami, but this time the Ravens get it right.

Enough already about Ravens coach John Harbaugh's providing the Miami Dolphins with bulletin-board material. He was right when talking about Cam Cameron's not having material to work with in Miami last year. NFL players shouldn't need motivation to play hard, nor should anyone else who gets paid a good salary. If it takes a statement from Harbaugh to get the Dolphins to play hard tomorrow, then they have problems, and it won't be Cameron's fault this season. (For more, go to baltimoresun.

Appearing on the "Norris & Davis Show" on 105.7 The Fan on Wednesday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh defended offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and hyped up his young quarterback, saying, "We’re going to win championships with Joe Flacco. " "I believe in him," Harbaugh told Ed Norris and Steve Davis . "He’s my quarterback. He’s our quarterback. He’s going to be our quarterback. " Flacco was criticized after he threw for just 125 passing yards in the Ravens' 31-24 playoff loss to the Steelers.

As a Baltimorean and Ravens fan, I am disheartened by the fact that so much attention is being given to the dismissal of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and so little attention to Terrell Suggs' alleged domestic abuse troubles ("Suggs, fiancee reach court agreement," Dec. 12). John Harbaugh has held various press conferences to explain the organization's position regarding the dismissal of Mr. Cameron and the future expectations for the team. However, he has yet to publicly condemn domestic abuse and state that the Ravens will not tolerate such behavior by their players.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, blogger Matt Vensel will hook you up with reading material -- mostly on the Ravens but with some other Baltimore sports stuff, too -- to skim through as you slug down coffee and slack off at the start of your workday. That way he'll have an excuse to do the same to start his workday, too. RUNNING IT BACK The Ravens fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron on Monday. The firing was preceded by Cameron and Ravens coach John Harbaugh having a heated exchange on the sidelines . ... They have replaced Cameron with Jim Caldwell for the rest of the season . ... Former Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason was surprised by the timing of Cameron's firing.

Kevin Cowherd Ravens 27, Broncos 24 Only because the Ravens are at home. And they're desperate. And they might have Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs back. And a three-game losing streak would cause The Castle to implode. Edward Lee Broncos 30, Ravens 17 The Broncos are 0-5 all time against the Ravens in Baltimore, but the Ravens are reeling, and a change from Cam Cameron to Jim Caldwell at offensive coordinator isn't the end-all solution. Peyton Manning will fortify his candidacy to be named the NFL's Most Valuable Player.

Edward Lee, reporter: The ravens will take this win, but there's a lot to work on -- a lethargic first-half showing by the offense, a porous offensive line and an unwelcome returnĀ of penalties. Matt Vensel, Sports Blitz: Unlike on Monday night, the Ravens made all the right moves after halftime. They picked up the pace, busted out the no-huddle offense and made enough plays to pull it out at the buzzer. Cam Cameron's seat is still hot today, but at least he still has a seat to sit on. Peter Schmuck, columnist: This one was two games for the price of one. The Ravens were beaten soundly in the first half and pulled out of a six-quarter tailspin to make an uplifting, record comeback.

Selecting the Ravens' Most Valuable Player is a difficult task. Is it Ed Reed? Or Ray Lewis? Or perhaps Joe Flacco? But there's no debate when choosing the team's Most Valuable Person - Cam Cameron. His first season as offensive coordinator has brought a much-needed influx of creativity and unpredictability. Cameron has gotten so much out of so little this season. He doesn't have a clear-cut No. 1 running back. He doesn't have a big-play receiver. He doesn't have a healthy offensive line.

The Ravens announced Monday their intentions to sign coach John Harbaugh to a contract extension and retain Cam Cameron as offensive coordinator. Harbaugh is entering the final season of his four-year contract that reportedly paid him between $2 million and $2.5 million per season. He could be seeking a deal similar to the one signed last July by Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin, who is making more than $4 million per year. Since he was hired in January 2008, Harbaugh became just the fourth NFL coach since 1990 to guide a team to the playoffs in his first three seasons.
