On May 8, 2006 of Mechanicsville, MD LAWRENCE JOHN "LARRY" SIFEL husband of Jean R. Sifel, son of Irene and the late John Sifel; father of of Benjamin J. Sifel. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and very close friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with time of Remembrance at 6 p.m. Interment will be private. Elizabeth Kathleen Green and Thomas Patrick Meadowcroft were married April 16 at the Hilton Hotel in Baltimore. Green is the daughter of Charles "Bob" and Laura Green of Calverton. Meadowcroft is the son of Denny and Paula Meadowcroft, of Bel Air. Green graduated from Palottti High School and Salisbury University. She received her master's in education from Northern Illinois University. Meadowcroft graduated from John Carroll School and Salisbury University. Though they were students at Salisbury at the same time, they didn't meet until 2005.

Friends may call at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Rt. 32 near Eldersburg from 7 to 9 PM Thursday. Graveside Services will be held from City of Melbourne Cemetery in Melbourne, FL on Saturday at 10 AM. Right-hander Emily Weiman got the No. 3 Archbishop Spalding softball team off to a perfect start. Weiman (1-0) pitched a perfect game, 15 strikeouts in five innings, as the visiting Cavaliers shut out Calvert County opponent Calverton, 20-0. Offensively, Weiman went 3-for-3 with a double and a home run.

Wagner; brother-in-law of William Huth and Lynn Wagner; uncle of Robert Bartlett, Robin Frazier, Cheri Ahmadinia, Daniel Wagner and Jill Wagner.
