Glenelg waited for a year for a rematch with Calvert, the team that ended the Gladiators' season in last year's Class 2A South region championship. But their rematch in Friday night's regional final yielded the same result, as the Cavaliers defeated the No. 6 Gladiators 69-52 to advance to next week's state tournament. If there is one consolation to losing again to the defending Class 2A state champions, it is this: "This time they beat us, we did not beat ourselves," Glenelg senior Danielle Burris said.

Bonner flicked the ball to Jake Coccio, who headed the ball into the corner of the goal for a 1-0 victory. "As soon as I saw it go out, I had that feeling," Konstanzer said.
