On December 3, 2008, Denis David Canavan Services will be held at the family owned McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Bel Air, MD on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home in Bel Air on Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 2-5 P.M. and on Sunday from 10-12 noon prior to the service. Graveside services for Frank Darvis, of Ellicott City, were June 5 at the Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.Mr. Darvis died June 2at Methodist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ariz. He was visiting relatives in Jonesboro at the time of his death.A native of Campbell, Ohio, Mr. Darvis moved to Ellicott City four years ago after living in Michiganfor 18 years.He was a retiredsalesman for the McKelvey Furniture Co. and a former member of the First Pentecostal Church in Jonesboro.Mr. Darvis is survived by his wife, Jean Darvis; a son, Frank Darvis Jr. of Jonesboro; five daughters, Denise McIntyre of Ellicott City, Diane Livingston of Petaluma,Calif.

A puppy in Brooklyn Park shocked its owner by dragging home a human foot, Anne Arundel County police said today.Police said they were called to the home of Margie Lee on Saturday morning, after receiving a report that her puppy, Kelly, was gnawing on a right human foot.The foot, embalmed and partially decomposed, apparently came from the near by Mount Calvary Cemetery, police said, where it was unearthed by a bulldozer and severed from a body during a recent grave-digging."They hit a grave that wasn't marked," said Anne Arundel County police spokesman Richard Molloy, "and didn't know they had hit it until the dog came up with the foot."

JESSIE F. GRIM, 90, of 1501 11th Ave., Altoona, PA died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born on January 23, 1913 in Baltimore, a daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Weselkoski) Kwiatkowski. She married Oscar H. Grim on May 8, 1938 in Baltimore. He died October 4, 1994. Mrs. Grim retired as Manager from the William Penn Townhouse in Altoona. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata. She was a member of the Juniata VFW. Surviving are 4 children: Karen J. Walker of Altoona, PA, Wayne B. and Oscar H. III of Baltimore, and Gloria Taylor of Hagerstown, MD; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
