Q: Does a little baby need water? Our pediatrician says no, but my mother says yes. I am breast feeding him.A: We're with your pediatrician on this one. Both human milk and formula contain lots of water, in fact all the water most babies need. We rarely recommend supplementary water, because we are worried it will fill the stomach and prevent small babies from taking enough breast milk or formula to get the calories required for growth.Breast-feeding mothers should avoid offering anything from a bottle until the baby has been breast feeding well for several weeks at least.

The inaugural Susan G. Komen breast cancer race scheduled for Ocean City in April was meant to be a feel-good event promoting a noble cause - and a way to boost tourism during the resort town's off-season. Now uncertainty surrounds it and other Komen events in Maryland and beyond, as fallout continues from the national organization's recent decision to pull funding from Planned Parenthood. Ocean City officials and Komen Maryland organizers are still planning for a crowd of 3,000 for the race that raises money for breast cancer research.

Question: : What can you tell me about the pain reliever salsalate? My doctor says that it will not only help ease my arthritis pain, but might help control my blood sugar. Diet has not controlled my borderline diabetes. Answer: : Salsalate has been used for more than a century to relieve arthritis pain. The name indicates its chemical connection with salicylic acid, which is similar to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). Like aspirin, salsalate is effective against inflammation and pain, but it does not irritate the digestive tract as aspirin does.

Decker was convicted of battery yesterday -- but acquitted of a sex charge -- in a case stemming from physical contact with a female custodian in a courthouse hallway last year.Judge John Grason Turnbull II, who heard the case that was moved to Baltimore County Circuit Court, cited conflicting testimony in finding Mr. Decker, 35, not guilty of a fourth-degree sex offense. The custodian alleged that he had touched her breast."I'm not Solomon, I can't look into a crystal ball," Judge Turnbull said of the differing accounts.
