Kevin Braswell didn't just fall into Georgetown's lap. foot-2 guard since he was in the 10th grade at Lake Clifton and in AAU basketball. Esherick kept close tabs on Braswell. When the Georgetown coach couldn't watch the then-shooting guard play, AAU coach Anthony Lewis would keep him informed of Braswell's progress. All that close attention paid dividends when Braswell elected to attend Georgetown after high school and one year of prep school at Maine Central Institute. "I've never coached anybody who is more competitive than Kevin," Esherick said of the senior point guard from Baltimore.
