When 69-year-old William E. Bozman Sr. awoke with a gun pointed at his head, then fatally shot the intruder dead inside his Perry Hall home last year, it appeared he had put an end to a violent home invasion. But Baltimore County police concluded that the 2008 attack on the towing company owner was not random. This week, authorities charged Bozman's son with setting up the robbery at his father's home on Chapel Road. The twist adds a new dimension to the case, but a spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department said he had no new information to add and could not describe how homicide detectives linked the man who was killed to the victim's son. William E. Bozman Jr., 44, was arrested Tuesday on a fugitive warrant in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and is being held without bail pending extradition to Maryland to face charges that include conspiracy to commit armed robbery, burglary, assault and using a handgun in the commission of a violent crime.

QUEENSTOWN - Six weeks before the election, Rep. Wayne T. Gilchrest and his Democratic opponent, Del. Bennett Bozman, were working traditional campaign barbecues for all they were worth. The contrast couldn't have been more obvious. Bozman, an affable pharmacist and State House veteran who's served his Eastern Shore district there since 1991, was hustling votes in a flurry of events on a recent Saturday afternoon that included a cozy session on a Talbot County farm with a handful of local Democrats, all party loyalists who stuck around when the overbooked candidate was late.
