On June 19, 2006, DOROTHY MCGOVERN PURNELL, age 98, beloved wife of the late John G. Purnell Sr., devoted mother of Katherine Osborn, John G. Purnell Jr., and Harold F.X. Purnell, loving grandmother of Lisa Giampa, Bryan and Julie Osborn, Christa Gallagher, Susan Anne Bell and Sarah Lynch. Also survived by five great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be celebrated Sunday, July 9, 2006, 2 P. M at St. Charles Borromeo, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville, MD, 21208. On July 25, 2005, STANLEY T. PINKNER, 68, of Chochowinity, NC. Son of the late Maurice Pickner and Nettie Kramer Pinkner. He was a retired veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Saratoga and USS Hancock. He was on the CINCPAC Fleet Staff and worked with the Bureau of Navy Personnel. He was a member of the DAV and Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Member of the Knights of Columbus Third Degree. Survivors include his close friends, Paul and Patricia Coakley of Cypress Landing, NC, and many cousins in MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 A.M, Thursday, July 28 at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.
