Two people were injured in a three-vehicle collision Sunday evening at the intersection of Routes 1 and 152 in Fallston, Maryland State Police said. At approximately 6:37 p.m., troopers from the Bel Air Barrack responded to the intersection of Route 1 (Belair Road) and Route 152 (Mountain Road) in Fallston for what a state police news release called "a serious motor vehicle collision. " Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by Callie Jo Davidson, 28, of Abingdon, was traveling south (east)

A 26-year-old man was shot and killed outside his Gardenville home late Sunday night, city police said. Adam Robinson of the 4100 block of Idaho Avenue, near Belair Road, answered his door bell about 11 p.m., police said. He walked outside and was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital about 11:30 p.m., police said. Police have no suspects at this time and are continuing to investigate. As of 9 a.m. Thursday, traffic was slow on the inner loop of I-695 near Belair Road, due to an accident. Accidents were slowing traffic on the outer loop of I-695 near Greenspring Avenue in Baltimore County, on U.S. 40 eastbound near I-695 in Baltimore County and on Eastern Boulevard near White Marsh Boulevard in Baltimore County. There were no major delays on Baltimore area transit systems.

A Baltimore police officer has been charged with attempted theft of groceries at a Northeast Baltimore store after a cashier — the officer's daughter — rang up items for her at reduced prices, police said Saturday. "We demand, we expect more from the people who wear this badge," Baltimore police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. The officer is facing both an internal investigation and a criminal summons. The charge comes within days of the department's suspending John A. Ward, 32, a four-year veteran of the force.

Belair Road has been closed in both directions for more than an hour this evening after a southbound vehicle went airborne after striking an SUV, killing an unidentified man and injuring two others, Baltimore Fire Department spokesman Kevin Cartwright said. The accident took place about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ravenwood Avenue when the driver of the southbound car, described as a coupe, crossed into oncoming traffic, Cartwright said. One man in the coupe was pronounced dead on the scene and another was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old Harford County woman was killed Wednesday after her car collided with two other vehicles along Belair Road in Perry Hall, Baltimore County Police said. Amy Marie Thiess, of the 1900 Block of Sidnee Drive in Edgewood, died at the scene of the crash in the 9900 block of Belair Road near Perry Hall Road. Thiess was driving a Honda Accord in the southbound lane when she crossed the center line, sideswiped a northbound Toyota 4Runner and then struck a Rav4 head on at about 4 p.m., police said.

A two-car crash Wednesday afternoon on Belair Road killed a woman and sent another person to the hospital, police said. A woman, who police say was in her 30s, died at the scene on Route 1, between Perry Hall and Kingsville. The second person was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. City police have identified two men fatally shot over the weekend. Police said 23-year-old Lawrence Edwards was the victim found shot Friday night in the 2200 block of Elsinore Ave. Officers had been called to the scene at about 7:50 p.m. for a report of a shooting, but did not find a victim. At about 9:10 p.m., someone reported a body in the street, and Edwards was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. On Saturday, at about 10 p.m., police said Jeffrey Smith , 32, was walking out of a 7-Eleven in the 4400 block of Belair Road when a masked gunman approached and shot him. He was later found in the 4200 block of Nicholas Ave., just around the corner, and taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
