The following is compiled from Howard County police reports.  Ellicott City Coventry Court Drive, 3300 block, between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. April 29. Entry gained to residence by prying open basement door. Master bedroom ransacked. Jewelry stolen. St Johns Lane, 3300 block, 11:19 p.m. April 24. A juvenile male entered an abandoned residence by kicking in the door. While inside the house, the juvenile was confronted by three men wearing dark-colored hoodies and bandannas over their faces.

POLICE* Union Bridge: Intruders broke into an East Elger Street house on two consecutive days, state police reported. On Sunday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone entered the house through a basement door and stole cigarettes valued at $27.50. Between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday, someone again forced the basement door and took food and liquor valued at $16, police were told.

Baltimore County Police report that a man had a black Apple iPhone stolen by two men recently along Washington Avenue in Towson. The incident happened on Oct. 26 in the 400 block of Washington Avenue, at about 5:15 p.m. According to the report, the man was knocked to the ground and the men took his iPhone. In addition to this item, the following incident were compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. It took a 1995 move to Ocala, Fla., for Tom Buser and wife Joyce Starr to realize how much they loved Maryland, their home state. "We got homesick for the water, the culture, the steamed crabs, and [the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra]," said Starr, a 59-year old registered nurse. "We also wanted to be back where the health care is better." After five years, the couple returned, settling in July 2000 on a waterfront townhouse in the Anne Arundel County development of Elizabeth's Landing, near Pasadena.
