The two women came barreling down the street, wailing as they sprinted over the downtown light rail tracks and towards the crime scene in front of a barber shop. "Please tell me [my brother's] not shot," one shouted, holding a cell phone. "Please tell me no. " A gruff police commander walked over. "How do you know he's been shot? We don't even know who it is," he said. After catching her breath, the woman replied, "It was on Facebook. " Just before 5 p.m. Saturday, police found a man shot several times inside the Focal Point barber shop in the 200 block of W. Saratoga St. Police identified the victim Sunday as Dwight Taylor, 25, confirming the women's fears.

As expected, there has been chatter on the message boards and talk radio about the possibility that the Ravens will sign former Giants running back Tiki Barber now that he is coming out of retirement . You can be sure the guys over at The Castle will talk about it for a few minutes, too, because they have discussions about pretty much every available player. I doubt that conversation will last long, though, despite the expectation that the Ravens will be in the market for a running back or two this offseason.

Each week, The Sun's John McIntyre presents a moderately obscure but evocative word with which you may not be familiar -- another brick to add to the wall of your working vocabulary. Use it in a sentence in a comment on his blog, You Don't Say, and the best sentence will be featured next week. This week's word: REBARBATIVE Not one of the nice words, rebarbative means unattractive, objectionable, annoying, repellant. It comes to us directly from the French rebarbatif, meaning literally to "face each other, beard to beard.

On TV, "The Office" and "Mad Men" take divergent views of corporate America. And "Enron" the play recently ended a Broadway run. Business has been big business on stage and screen for years. One of the latest theatrical productions to take a cue from the business world made its debut this weekend at the Fells Point Corner Theatre as part of the 29th annual Baltimore Playwrights Festival.

"He started out as a nothing kid," said his daughter, Toni Kocun of Towson.

Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber could start the playoff game against Minnesota on Sunday after his sore left knee held up well during practice Thursday. "He's listed as limited, although he did practice and did run some and ran pretty well," coach Wade Phillips said. "That was an encouraging sign with him. We'll see what he does tomorrow, but it's looking better and better I think for him to be able to play." Barber left the last playoff game after only three carries because coaches could tell he wasn't running at full strength.
