At this time of year, Barbara and Bob Johnson's home often is filled with teen-aged runners.On Saturday mornings, the whole C. Milton Wright cross country clan comes over to run hills, have breakfast and watch cartoons.Maybe those road runner cartoons are the secret to the Mustangs' success. After all, the boys and girls teams won county titles this year.More likely, however, the success has something to do with the coaching.Since Bob Johnson took over the boys team six years ago, the Mustangs never have lost the county title.

GIRLS TEAMRUNNER OF THE YEAR* Amy Altmann, C. Milton Wright, senior -- She won the county and regional titles then placed seventh in the 3A state meet. A well-rounded student, she maintains a 4.02 grade-point average and is a class officer, homecoming queen, and community volunteer. "It's amazing, all that she does," said Wright coach Barbara Johnson. "She is a super kid."COACH OF THE YEAR* Barbara Johnson, C. Milton Wright -- Since coming to Wright when it opened in 1979, she has guided her girls teams to seven county titles, the most by any school since the girls meet began in 1975.

ANNA MAE CHILDS TAYLOR (84) of Baltimore, Maryland departed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was survived by her loving children Barbara Johnson and James J. Childs; daughter-in-law Saundra; five grandchildren, Ariana Childs Lee, Tracie' Steele, Sharon Shelton, Stewart and Charles Johnson and nine great-grandchildren. Interment will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Maryland at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, May 27, 2005.
