A Baltimore man was sentenced in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court to 60 years in prison Friday for his part in the 2010 fatal robbery of a Brooklyn Park man, according to court records. Rodney R. Barnwell, 23, had pleaded guilty in March to first-degree murder in the slaying of Adam Ray Bucklew. The 21-year-old victim was found shot to death in July 2010 in his vehicle near his home in the 400 block Audrey Avenue. A second suspect, Ricky L. Mason, 24, was sentenced earlier to 55 years in prison in the case, court records show.

Baltimore City Police said that a 24-year-old Baltimore man, Patric Glasco, has been arrested and charged in connection with a Northeast Baltimore murder last month. Police that Glasco has been charged with the murder of Martez Anthony Hall, 22, who was found shot in the torso in the 1600 block of East 31 s t Street on Feb 16. Detective Jeremy Silbert said late Sunday that Glasco has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder and other charges including assault.

A federal judge sentenced a Baltimore man, Stephen Johnson , to 151 months in prison Monday for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for Maryland. Baltimore police officers found a clear plastic baggie containing cocaine, a gun, 88 rounds of live .38-caliber ammunition and more than $3,000 in cash upon executing a search warrant at Johnson's home on May 13 of last year, according to the news release. U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett also sentenced Johnson, 31, three years of supervised release after completing his sentence.

Anne Arundel police have charged a 19-year-old city man with burglary after he was spotted carrying a TV at the North Linthicum Light Rail Station. Corey Monte Williams, of the 1800 block of Woodbourne Avenue, faces two counts of burglary and one count of theft in the incident Friday. Witnesses told police they had seen a man walking along Regency Circle near Minta Court with a television in his hands. A homeowner in the 200 block of Minta Court had just reported a stolen TV, police said.

A 34-year-old Baltimore man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for his role in a heroin and gun distribution ring that netted police more than a dozen weapons, $8,000 in cash and two ounces of heroin when they busted it earlier this year, according to police and the Maryland U.S. attorney's office. Keith James, 34, of the 5000 block of Harford Road, will also have to serve three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty Monday to possession of heroin with the intent to distribute it and possession of a firearm that he was prohibited from having because of a previous conviction, prosecutors said.

A 20-year-old Baltimore man serving an 18-month prison sentence on drug distribution and gun convictions at a correctional facility in Cumberland was severely beaten there Monday and is now close to death, according to his family and state corrections officials. Jerod Pridget of East Baltimore was found unresponsive and with "severe head trauma" in his cell at the Western Correctional Institution just before noon Monday and was rushed to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, officials said.

A Baltimore man who helped rob hundreds of thousands of dollars and multiple handguns from five armored vehicle drivers over the course of three years pleaded guilty to multiple robbery and gun charges Thursday, according to the Maryland U.S. Attorney's office. David Marquise Howard, 27 — who is also listed as having addresses in Owings Mills and Hyattsville in federal court documents — participated in stealing a total of $555,000 in the robberies, which he planned and staged from 2009 to 2011 with four others, according to his plea agreement.

A Baltimore man was killed Monday when his truck struck a guardrail and he was ejected on Interstate 70 in Frederick County, state police said. Elmer Smith, 41, of the 4000 block of Walther Ave. was headed west on I-70, near Route 75 in New Market, about 11 a.m. when his Peterbilt truck struck the guardrail. Investigators believe his front, driver-side tire malfunctioned, causing him to lose control. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt. Smith was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A Baltimore man backed out of a federal plea deal Friday but proceeded with his guilty plea in a surprising move that could net him extra prison time. Anthony Wiggins, 31, readily accepted responsibility for being a felon in possession of a handgun - two, in fact, both loaded - when the cab he was riding in was pulled over in Baltimore for broken tail lights Sept.16. He also admits to resisting arrest and trying to escape by jumping in the Patapsco River. But he refused to concede to government claims that he attacked three officers.

A Baltimore man has been convicted of rape and child abduction for raping a 13-year-old girl after breaking up a fight between the victim and his niece. In June last year, the victim was at an east Baltimore corner store with her brother running an errand for their mother, according to prosecutors. An argument began between the victim and another woman; the brother fled and Marcus Lynch, now 29, intervened, prosecutors said. While the victim was trying to find her brother, Lynch grabbed her, dragged her into nearby Frank C. Bocek Park, threatened to kill her, strangled and raped her, prosecutors said.
