The Baltimore Spirit finalized its 1993-94 roster yesterday by signing midfielder Billy Reinhart and rookie goalkeeper Shawn Boehmcke.Reinhart, a Patterson graduate, had three goals and one assist in 13 games for the Spirit last year. Boehmcke recorded 42 shutouts in his four-year career at Loyola.The Spirit opens its season against the Chicago Power on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at the Baltimore Arena.

The Baltimore Police Department's Police Athletic League will hold its championship basketball games for players ages 13 and 14 at 4: 30 p.m. today at the Baltimore Arena, 210 W. Baltimore St. Trophies will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams, said a police spokeswoman. In addition, PAL members of all ages who have participated in other sports will receive awards.

The Capitals will make their only appearance at the Baltimore Arena this year, meeting the Flyers tonight at 8 o'clock in an NHL exhibition game.The next-to-last exhibition game this season for Washington will be preceded by a 4 p.m. AHL exhibition encounter between the Skipjacks and the Bears. It will be one of only two exhibition games for Baltimore this season.In addition to the hockey doubleheader, there will be a sports card and memorabilia festival today on the concourse of the Baltimore Arena from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. NFL Hall of Famer Art Donovan will be on hand to sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 12, and NHL Hall of Famer Alex Delvecchio (Detroit Red Wings)
