On October 18, 2008, "SONNY" passed away after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at Augsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2610 Garrison Blvd., on Thursday at 12 P.M.

Ethlyn "Toots" Molander donned her most festive red outfit, took a seat near the front row and listened intently as about 80 fifth-graders merrily sang carols. For the fourth year, Pinewood Elementary's fifth-graders chose a senior living center — this time it was Augsburg Village in Lochearn — and treated residents to songs, conversation and presents. "They spoil us with entertainment here," said Molander, 84. "These kids are all wonderful and so sociable. Then they gave me fantastic slippers.

Paul L. Heiges, a retired oil company analyst, died of heart failure Saturday at Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village. He was 89. Mr. Heiges was born and raised in York County, Pa. After graduating from high school, he was a reporter for the Mechanicsburg, Pa., newspaper. He served stateside as an Army master sergeant from 1942 to 1946. In 1946, he went to work for Amoco, eventually becoming a financial analyst in the company's Baltimore office. He retired in 1980. A longtime Towson resident who moved to the Lochearn retirement community in 2001, he enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and collecting antique clocks.

On May 7, 2006, ANNA ELIZABETH TRAGESER; beloved wife of the late Ernest A. Trageser; dear sister of the late John Ay, Dorothy Macauley and Catherine Goller. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
