North Carolina-Charlotte top assistant basketball coach Rob Moxley said yesterday that he is "close" to working out an agreement with Gary Williams to become an assistant at Maryland next season. Moxley, 36, said, "It's not official yet. It's not finished yet. We're close. Hopefully it will happen shortly." Moxley has been an assistant to Bobby Lutz for the 49ers the past seven years, and he is given much of the credit for developing the best three-point shooting team in Conference USA the first six seasons he was at the school.
