A Laurel woman was assaulted and robbed on the parking lot of a restaurant in Owen Brown village early yesterday as she was getting into her car, Howard County police said.The woman, Angela Affeldt, told police that a man came up behind her about 1: 45 a.m. in the parking lot of Margarita Maggies in the 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way and punched her in the face.Police said Affeldt was knocked unconscious by the blow. When she regained consciousness, her cellular phone, radar detector, pager and $75 in cash were missing from her 1996 Honda Civic.

Old Frederick Road and Holly Manor Road, Feb. 7, 6:57 p.m. Three men approached adult male and one juvenile, struck the adult several times and stole his money.

Baltimore police are seeking a man who has broken into three homes in the North Baltimore neighborhood of Guilford and robbed and assaulted elderly female residents.Detective George Jennings of the robbery unit said the latest home-invasion robbery in the wealthy neighborhood occurred about 2 p.m. Wednesday when a man broke into a house in the 300 block of E. Cold Spring Lane, struck an 83-year-old woman in the face and robbed her of property.Jennings said the woman was in guarded condition at Sinai Hospital yesterday.

A man was assaulted and robbed outside of a Columbia convenience store Tuesday night, police said.According to police, the man was walking home from the Royal Farm Store in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road at midnight when he was stopped by three males. One asked the victim if he had a match, and when the victim reached into his pocket, he was knocked to the ground.The robber, who was wearing a white headband or bandanna around his head, took money from the victim's pocket, police said.

Hitchhiker assaulted and robbedA 19-year-old Baltimore County man was assaulted and robbed near Westminster early yesterday by three men who had picked him up as he was hitchhiking on Interstate 795, state police reported.Jason R. Blouse of the 200 block of Pittston Circle in Owings Mills told police he was picked up around midnight by three men who drove him around Westminster for several hours.Mr. Blouse told police the men forced him from the car on Route 97 at Humbert Schoolhouse Road, assaulted him and robbed him of $120.

Man fixing flat tire is assaulted, robbedTwo men assaulted and robbed a Baltimore County man Friday evening as he tried to fix a flat tire in the 600 block of West Nursery Road in Linthicum, police said.Charles O'Neil, 24, of Baltimore Highlands told officers that one of the tires went flat about 8 p.m., police said.As he fixed his tire, two men came up behind him, pushed him into the car fender, grabbed his wallet and ran toward the Beltway. He was not injured, police said.

A Gaithersburg woman who had stopped at a pay phone in Mount Airy about 8 p.m. Saturday was abducted, robbed and later dumped at a lumber yard there.Diana C. Dunn, 34, was attacked from behind, said state police with the Westminster Barracks. Her assailant covered her eyes with a bandanna and forced her into a tan, full-sized car where he knocked her unconscious. Her brown leather purse, wallet and identification were stolen.Police, who were called about 8:24 a.m. yesterday, found her at Calvary United Methodist Church on Main Street.

Three men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after being robbed and assaulted outside an Inner Harbor hotel, police confirmed. According to preliminary information, four men who had been drinking and were "very intoxicated" were standing outside the Intercontinental Hotel in the 500 block of Light St. before 2:40 a.m. when four males and two females walked past them. One of the males asked, "Are you laughing at me?" and punched one of the men, a 28-year-old, in the nose, police said.

Anne Arundel County police are seeking three men, at least one armed with a handgun, who are suspects in a Glen Burnie assault and robbery. A man was walking on a foot path in the 300 block of Highland Drive just after midnight Monday when he was confronted by three men, who, with faces covered, demanded his money, according to police. After indicating that he had none, the three men assaulted the man, stole his lighter and fled on foot.

Anne Arundel County homicide detectives are investigating the beating of an unidentified man who was hospitalized in critical condition with life-threatening injuries yesterday. Police said that about 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, a man flagged down police on routine patrol in the Pioneer City area near Fort Meade and said he had been beaten and robbed after leaving a friend's house. He added that as he left the house, he saw a man on the ground. The man led police to the victim, who was unresponsive, police said.

The man and woman, both 48, told police that they were on the parking lot at 3535 Russet Green E. about 4:50 p.m. Saturday when four men approached them. At least one displayed a handgun and took their personal property, including cash and credit cards. The four fled in an older-model black Jeep Cherokee. 2 mall employees assaulted, robbed Two employees at Arundel Mills mall said they were assaulted and robbed as they tried to make a night deposit, Anne Arundel County police said.

Harford man charged in 3 robberies in 6 hours A Harford County man has been charged with robbing three people within six hours on the same day. About 5 p.m. Tuesday, a woman leaving an Aldi grocery store on Pulaski Highway in Edgewood was assaulted and robbed, state police in Bel Air said. At 6:30 p.m., a woman using the Bank of America ATM in the 1000 block of Joppa Road in Joppa was assaulted and robbed, said Sgt. Christina R. Presberry of the sheriff's office. That woman told deputies that her attacker drove off in a dark-colored car with a loud muffler.

A 76-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by a man who broke into his home in the 7600 block of Spencer Road early Wednesday, county police reported.Joseph Lawson was awakened by a sound at 4:30 a.m. He walked into the kitchen and found a man standing there, the police report said.He then picked up the phone to call the police, but the man attacked him. After a brief struggle, Mr. Lawson ran into the bedroom.His attacker knocked a dresser over on top of him and demanded money, police said.

Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.Eastern DistrictBreaking and Entering: A 36-year-old man was arrested at 1: 10 a.m. yesterday and charged with breaking into a vacant city-owned building in the 700 block of Belnord Ave. Police said the suspect was arrested after being observed attempting to leave the kitchen area of the building.Theft: Police have no suspects in the theft of an air conditioner from a trucking company in the 3300 block of E. Federal St. The thief apparently gained entry through a rear door.
