(nee Billick) 76, formerly of S. Lake Street, Hamburg, at peace February 2, 2009, Baltimore, MD; predeceased by Howard L., husband of 41 years, and by parents Paul and Helen (nee Voss) Billick of Crucible, PA. Dearly loved mother of M'Liss Dzubella, Martin (Bobbi), Mercedes (Tom), and Howard Jr. (Laura); also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister Pauline Carmen; brother Paul (Josephine) and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY. Remembrances can be made to a local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Funeral Service will be held in the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26A), on Wednesday 11 A.M. On Sunday, September 12, 2004, DOROTHY L., 87, passed away at Brighton Gardens, Towson, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born December 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Archie C. and Amelia E. Mc Dermot. Dorothy was a former member of Arlington Methodist Church and a graduate of Western High School. Dorothy retired in 1979 after 39 years of service as an executive secretary for BGE in downtown Baltimore. She enjoyed gardening, walking and being outdoors. She is survived by sisters Lula G. Thomas of Westminster, and Patricia L. King of Parkville.

On January 14, 2004, ARRON L. RIZO "Al" of Preston, MD, formerly of Joppa; beloved husband of Dottie Rizo (nee Jones); devoted father of Bruce "Mark" Rizo, Dawn P. Kline, Brian C. Reckitt and Joe Reckitt; devoted grandfather of Nick, Kyle, Taylor, Marisa and Clay. Also survived by five sisters and one brother and former wife Patricia Rizo. People in their early 40s who had a high amount of flab in two different body locations were much more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease more than 25 years later than those with smaller amounts, according to the latest study linking obesity and dementia. The research is the first to look at how fat distribution around the body during midlife is associated with Alzheimer's risk. It also advances the understanding that fat is not just inert tissue, but rather is a cell type that can secrete substances that can be harmful to the brain.

On Monday, June 9, 2003, ELSIE PAULINE DIMITRESCU, age 81, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Cockeysville, MD, beloved wife of 52 years of George Dimitrescu; devoted mother of Carolyn White, and her husband Joseph; and cherished grandmother of Connor and Carly White, all of Jupiter, FL. Memorial services were held in Florida. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Alzheimer's Association.
