Towson - No. 17 Towson cruised to a 12-2 win over Providence Sunday at Unitas Stadium, improving to 1-1 on the season. The Tigers got two-goal games from Jonathan Engelke, Drew Pfarr, Brian Meyers and Steve Mull. Kevin Rutledge added a pair of assists. Towson won 14 of 18 faceoffs on the afternoon, led by a 10-for-13 performance by midfielder Ben DiFeliece. A Westminster man whose Frito-Lay delivery truck was found abandoned in Pasadena on Saturday night was located Wednesday afternoon at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Anne Arundel County police said. Michael Yeagle, 45, who has a history of gambling, returned Wednesday from a trip to Las Vegas, authorities said. His wife, Donna Yeagle, reported the Uniontown Road resident missing Saturday afternoon, saying she hadn't seen him since about 6:30 a.m. Friday, when he left to drop off his stepson with a day care provider.

Store employees catch man fleeing with roastsEmployees of a Mars supermarket in Glen Burnie chased and caught a man suspected of shoplifting Tuesday afternoon and held him until police arrived.Store manager Richard Soper told police that an employee saw a man stuff two roasts worth $12 in his shirt and run out of the store in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway.Mr. Soper and several employees chased the man to the parking lot. The man dropped one roast. As he ran by a pickup truck in the Hechinger parking lot, he picked up a gallon of paint from the truck bed and swung it at one employee, police said.

Maryland Natural Resources Police have recovered the body of a man who was reported missing after his boat capsized Saturday near the Bay Bridge. James Thomas, 44, of the 5600 block of Whitby Road in Baltimore was boating with four family members in a 16-foot runabout when the vessel began sinking late Saturday. The others aboard -- including three children ages 8, 11 and 12 -- made it to shore safely early Sunday, police said. Early yesterday, an angler spotted a body in the Chesapeake Bay, west of Love Point.

The second of two men shot Wednesday afternoon as they got out of a car in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. has died at the Shock-Trauma Unit in Baltimore.City police said Robert Eugene Williams, 43, of the 1500 block of Retreat St., died yesterday afternoon after being shot in the head.Police said Williams had been kept alive on support systems so that some of his organs could be donated.His companion, Oliver Randall Coleman, 32, of the 3200 block of Presstman St., died of multiple gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at Shock-Trauma.

A group trying to overturn the state's new Congressional map received good news from the Board of Elections today: They've hit their mark. As of this afternoon, the board had certified 56,325 signatures on a petition to challenge the new Congressional map.
