New positions MayaTech appoints Day technical vice president MayaTech Corp. appointed Harry Day as technical vice president for evaluation research at the Silver Spring applied social science research and technical assistance services company. A member of the American Public Health Association, American Psychological Association and the American Evolution Association, Day received his doctorate in psychology from Cornell University. Prime Outlets names Seaman general manager Prime Outlets at Perryville hired Mark Seaman as general manager and marketing director.

New positions Mandelberg is controller for Advance Business Advance Business Systems appointed Martin B. Mandelberg as controller for the Cockeysville-based office equipment provider. An Owings Mills resident, the University of Baltimore graduate is a certified public accountant and had been executive director of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation for nearly four years. He was finance director of the Associated Jewish Community Federation for 18 years. Classic Catering adds account executive Bernstein The Classic Catering People added Amy Bernstein to the staff of the Owings Mills-based caterer as an account executive with its Classic To Go unit.

Dodson Jr. as a senior estimator for the York-based industrial and commercial builder.An experienced estimator and contract administrator, he is a graduate of McNeese State University and also attended the University of Louisiana.The Baltimore resident is a consultant to the Hunting Ridge Homeowners Association and is also a member of the Associated Builders & Contractors and the Building Congress & Exchange.

Crosby announces hires, promotion Crosby Marketing Communications has announced several new hires and one promotion. Gene Tallarico joins the creative department as senior copywriter. He previously worked with Discovery Communications on marketing campaigns. Charlotte Schneider, formerly employed by WCI Communities headquartered in Florida, joins Crosby as a senior account executive. April Preston joins Crosby as an assistant account executive. She previously worked for Wachovia Financial Center.

Basically Computers Inc. has added two area residents to its staff.William Bolt, a 1987 graduate of North Carroll High School, has joined the firm as an account executive. He has experience as a computer consultant, helping clients decide what system and programming is right for them and assisting in the implementation of their systems.He worked previously as an independent computer consultant and was employed by CMC Computers in Finksburg.Bolt and his wife, Kelly, and daughter, Amanda, live in Millers.

Advertising MGH, an Owings Mills-based marketing communications agency, hired Stephen Baxter as an interactive Web developer, Kara DePaola as a public relations account executive and Ryan Goff as an account services account executive. Banking and finance MECU, the Municipal Employees Credit Union of Baltimore, promoted Andy Pataki to senior vice president and chief operating officer. The Perry Hall resident will manage operations and branch administration. WMS Partners LLC selected Pace Kessenich as a financial adviser at the Towson-based wealth management firm's family office practice.

New positions Interim Financial names Ruffini to Annapolis post Interim Financial Solutions announced that John M. Ruffini has joined the regional staffing, employment and consulting firm as director of its office in Annapolis. Ruffini is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. He lives in Easton. New positions Sitel Corp. names Gibbons vice president Sitel Corp. announced the appointment of Peter W. Gibbons as vice president for human resources for the Baltimore-based customer management relations firm. He will assist in the implementation of the company's global human resources strategy, organization development initiatives and with the continued development of Sitel University. A career officer of the U.S. Army, he recently retired with the rank of colonel, and holds graduate degrees from Florida State University and the National Defense University.
