Herbert W. "Bill" Acker, a retired Price Waterhouse Coopers LLD regional managing partner, died Friday of kidney cancer at his Stone House Farm in Churchville. He was 70. Herbert William Acker — who was known as H. William "Bill" Acker — was the son of a Ford-New Holland worker and a postmistress. He was born and raised in Intercourse, Pa., where he graduated from Pequea High School. After earning a bachelor's degree in 1963 in accounting from Lebanon Valley College, he began his accounting career at Price Waterhouse in New York City.

A Mass of Christian burial for Norbert H. "Itch" Zeller, a retire account executive, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5500 York Road in Govans.Mr. Zeller died Saturday at his home in Towson after a short illness. He was 64.Born in Baltimore, he was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School, where he was a member of the cross-country track team, and attended Loyola College. He served as a mine sweeper in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was discharged in 1947 as a petty officer third class.

Susan Lynn Bloom, an account executive with Katz Media Group Inc, died of respiratory failure Wednesday at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington. She was 39 and an Owings Mills resident. Born in Baltimore and raised in Pikesville, she was a 1981 graduate of Pikesville High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1985. She began her career in the mid-1980s as a radio and television media buyer for W.B. Doner & Co. Since 1999, she had been an account executive with Katz Media Group's Direct Response Unit, working in Baltimore and New York City.

Everitt Burns Smith, a retired account executive and World War II veteran, died of cancer Wednesday at Broadmead retirement community in Cockeysville. He was 79. Mr. Smith was born in New York City and raised in Peekskill, N.Y. He enlisted in the Army when he was 17 and studied engineering for a year. Later trained as a diesel mechanic, he was sent in 1944 to France, where he repaired and maintained trucks for Gen. George S. Patton Jr.'s Red Ball Express, which supplied troops in France and at the Battle of the Bulge.

Willie Mason Jr., a former flight attendant and account executive for a Baltimore radio station, died Sunday of kidney failure at Mercy Medical Center.He was 39 and lived in Northwest Baltimore.He joined Continental Airlines in 1990 and retired last year because of health reasons.Earlier, he was an account executive at WEEB Radio from 1984 to 1990.The Cherry Hill native graduated from Carver Vocational-Technical High School in 1976 and joined the Army, serving until 1979.He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Morgan State University in 1984.

Ronald A.J. Wilson, a retired accounting executive and Vietnam veteran, died June 30 from complications of pneumonia at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. The former Roland Park resident was 67. The son of a chemist and hospital volunteer, he was born and raised in Port Washington, N.Y., where he graduated from high school. After earning a bachelor's degree in 1966 from Harvard University, Mr. Wilson enlisted in the Marine Corps and served one tour of duty in Vietnam.

Raymond Leonard Evans Jr., a retired Allstate Insurance account executive, died of complications from a cerebral hemorrhage Dec. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The Edgewater resident was 81. Born in Baltimore and raised on Kildaire Drive in Hamilton and Chesapeake Avenue in Towson, he was a 1948 City College graduate and earned a psychology degree from Washington College in 1952. He met his future wife, Elizabeth-Lee Radcliffe, while at a function at Towson Presbyterian Church.
