The westbound Bay Bridge has reopened after being closed for about an hour as a result of a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Corvette. The accident happened at 4:52 p.m. when a tractor-trailer ran into the rear of the Corvette, said Sgt. Jonathan Green, spokesman for the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. He said the driver of the Corvette suffered non-life-threatening injuries but was taken by Medevac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma. As of just after 6 p.m., Green said one westbound lane had been reopened and that the others were expected to be cleared shortly.

Baltimore police officers responded Saturday night to a car accident on Route 295 near the Waterview Avenue exit. According to police, a man in his 30s was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in serious condition. An accident on Interstate 895 before Exit 12 has closed all southbound lanes, the state Department of Transportation said on its website Monday evening. All traffic is being detoured onto the Moravia Road (Exit 14) because of the four-vehicle accident, the agency said about 6:30 p.m.

A police-involved car accident in Randallstown Thursday morning sent one Baltimore County officer to the hospital with knee and head injuries, according to police. Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Winands and McDonogh roads about 6:30 a.m. The officer, whom police have not identified, was the only person hurt. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, and he was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. Police have not released details of the accident.

As of 9 a.m. Thursday, traffic was slow on the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway at Greenspring Avenue due to an accident. Emergency roadwork was slowing traffic on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 at Dunfield Road in Baltimore County. There were no major delays to mass transit systems.

As of 9 a.m. Tuesday, traffic was slow around Warren Road and York Road in Baltimore County, due to an accident. Traffic was partially blocked around Charles Street and the unit block of E. 25th Street in Charles Village, due to clean-up activity following an early morning fire. There were no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.

An accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 83 at 28th Street in Baltimore has been cleared, police said. No one was injured in the accident, police said. No further information was available. Earlier Saturday, one man was transported to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in serious but stable condition after the pickup truck he was driving collided with a tree in Fallston. Officials said the accident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. off Stratford Road near Mountain Road as a light snow fell.

As of 9 a.m. Monday, traffic was slow on U.S. 40 eastbound at Ridge Road, due to an accident. An accident involving two vehicles was blocking traffic on Route 180 westbound at Solarex Court in Frederick County. Roadwork was blocking one lane on I-83 northbound at Downes Road in Baltimore County. There were no major delays reported on Baltimore area transit systems.

A Bel Air woman was injured in a crash after suffering from a medical emergency while driving on Tollgate Road. The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on Tollgate Road near Emerald Drive. Elizabeth Korah, 60, who lives on Ambridge Road, was heading west on Tollgate when police believe she suffered a medical emergency, Edward Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said. Witnesses told deputies it looked like Korah was slowly trying to pull to the side of the road before she hit the tree.

A police vehicle was involved in an accident Saturday night in West Baltimore, police said. About 8 p.m., the police vehicle and another vehicle collided in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave., near Bentalou Street, said Detective Donny Moses, a spokesman from the Baltimore City Police Department. Both the officer driving the police vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, he said. Their injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
