Aberdeen William Thomas Cody, 24, of the 800 block of Shirley Drive, was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Fraud was reported Tuesday in the 4400 block of Kildare Court. Carlos Miguel Cortez III, 30, of the 300 block of Heron Street, was charged Wednesday with possessing a drug other than marijuana. Elliott Colin Gladden, 18, of the 1400 block of Cranberry Road, was charged Tuesday with violating probation in a case in which he was charged with second-degree assault.

Harford County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police Reports: Aberdeen Ronald B. Comer, 26, of the first block of North Post Road, was charged Friday with second-degree escape. Prentis James Vinson III, 24, of the first block of North Post Road, was charged Saturday with violating probation in a case in which he was found guilty of theft below $100. Justin D. Baughman, 24, of the 800 block of Matthews Avenue, was charged Sunday with concealing a dangerous weapon and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Aberdeen Teresa Alfiea Gonzales, 44, of the 700 block of Custis Street, was charged Wednesday with second-degree escape. Lisa Marie Diban, 44, of the 300 block of Baltimore Street, was charged Thursday with failing to appear in court for a case in which she was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving on the sidewalk and driving while impaired by alcohol. An SUV was driving over ball fields in the 600 block of Chelsea Road on Tuesday. Juveniles were playing with fire in the woods, near the 500 block of Plume Court, on Tuesday.

Rita Custer, of Aberdeen, has always been self-reliant. A former assistant manager for a Rite Aid Pharmacy, she is currently living on unemployment due to prolonged illness. She is also raising two sons, age 11 and 16. Her oldest, Justin, has Down's syndrome and has been the victim of bullying in his own back yard. For many years, Custer's wish has been for a place where her sons could play in safety. Justin is a client of the Arc Northern Chesapeake region, and after his mother suffered two strokes, the organization stepped up to help.

Aberdeen Charles William Gilbert, 76, whose address is listed as the Aberdeen Post Office, was charged Friday with failing to appear in court in a case in which he was charged with having an alcoholic beverage in a retail area. Justin P. Walters, 30, of the 200 block of Farm Road, was charged Sunday with possessing a drug other than marijuana. Jonathan David Hodges, 25, of the 3100 block of James Run Road, was charged Sunday with failing to appear in court in a case in which he was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Amber Milnes Aberdeen In her first season with the Eagles, Milnes faced a couple of daunting tasks -- rebuilding after graduating three starters from last year's state championship team and then rebuilding again after 2011-12 All-Metro Player of the Year Brionna Jones tore an anterior cruciate ligament in January, which forced her to miss the rest of the season. With two freshman and two sophomore starters, she converted a team that had been centered on the 6-foot-3 Jones into an up-tempo team in which everyone had to contribute.

Aberdeen Aberdeen police report: A cell phone was taken by a fellow cab passenger Tuesday in the 600 block of Webb Street. A gold 2000 Chrysler Town and Country van was taken Tuesday in the 600 block of Walker Street. Harassment by a woman was reported Tuesday at Pat's Pizzeria, in the 200 block of South Philadelphia Boulevard. Kids were throwing rocks at windows in the 200 block of North East Road on Tuesday. A known juvenile pulled a knife on a 12-year-old in a trailer park in the 100 block of West Aztec Street on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man was taken to a local hospital in grave condition Tuesday evening after an incident at Pier One on Old Philadelphia Road in Aberdeen, Harford County fire officials said. It was unclear how the incident occurred, but it was originally reported as an accident involving a piece of machinery, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. The accident may have been secondary, however, he said. Gardiner did not have additional information available around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputy state fire marshals have arrested a second person in connection with the intentional burning of a car in Aberdeen in November. Brenden Anthony Johnson, 20, turned himself in March 13 at the Harford County Detention Center, according to a news release from the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, which said investigators had served Johnson with an arrest warrant for his involvement in the burning of the vehicle. According to Maryland electronic court records, Johnson, whose address is listed in the 4200 block of Cowan Place in Belcamp, is charged with second-degree arson, first-degree malicious burning and malicious destruction of property.
