A man threatened a clerk's life yesterday while robbing a 7-Eleven store of an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.The man walked into the store in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway about 2 a.m. and made a purchase.As the clerk rang up the charge, the man said, "If you value your life, you'll give me the money in the register," police said.The man then took the cash and ran toward Church Street. He showed no weapon, police said. Described as a clean-shaven black male in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds, the man was wearing a blue T-shirt, a brown satin or silk jacket with black stains and a black baseball cap, police said.

A Pasadena woman was pushed to the ground and robbed of her purse Saturday night while she talked on a pay phone outside a 7-Eleven store in the 500 block of Donaldson Ave. in Severn, police said.Mimi Lee Young, 20, said a man walked up to her shortly after 11:30 p.m. and grabbed her purse, police said. The man then jumped into an older model -- 1978 to 1983 -- light blue Ford truck driven by a second man. The truck sped off on Old Quarterfield Road, police said.Ms. Young was not harmed. Her purse contained $120 and several credit cards, police said.

A clerk at a 7-Eleven store in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway foiled a robbery attempt Sunday night by telling the would-be thief that his actions were being recorded on video camera, county police said.The man had entered the store shortly before 11 p.m. and walked up to the counter. He put a pint of milk and a paper bag on the counter and told the clerk to put all the money in the bag, claiming he had a gun in his pocket, police said.The clerk initially had trouble getting the register open.

A man with a rifle walked into the 7-Eleven store in the 7600 block Woodbine Road, said nothing, and walked out with a handful of money about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.State police said the night clerk of the convenience store reported that a young white male -- about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with blond hair and wearing a turtle neck sweater pulled up over his nose -- pointed the rifle at the employee and walked slowly toward the cash register.The clerk opened the register, took out the money and placed it on the counter, according to police reports.

A man wearing a hooded jacket and apparently carrying a weapon hit the cashier of a Taylorsville convenience store about 2:40 a.m. Friday and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.State police in Westminster said the robber walked into the 7-Eleven store in the 4200 block of Ridge Road brandishing an object.He struck the cashier on the head.The robber ran to a compact car and escaped with the money.Police said they believe the car may have been driven by an accomplice.Police did not release the name of the cashier, who was taken to the Carroll County General Hospital and released after treatment.

7-Eleven robbed on Friday nightA 7-Eleven store in Brooklyn Park was robbed Friday by a man who implied he had a gun, county police said yesterday.According to police, the robber entered the store at 5617 Ritchie Highway about 11 p.m. and told the clerk he intended to rob the store. The man attempted to open the cash register, but was unable to do so, and forced the clerk to open it.He fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

Odenton woman robbed in car by man with a gunA 22-year-old woman was robbed of money and jewelry early Saturday by a man who jumped into her car in Odenton and forced her to drive to Crofton at gunpoint.Police said Michell Buckland, who lives in Odenton, was stoped at a traffic light at Odenton and Annapolis roads about 2:30 a.m. when a man got into her 1984 Pontiac Trans Am through the unlocked passenger door.The man took out a handgun, which he had hidden under his shirt, and ordered the woman to drive to a 7-Eleven store on Defense Highway in Crofton, where he robbed her of $120 in cash and three rings, police said.

The 48-year-old owner of a Northwest Baltimore 7-Eleven has been charged with shooting a customer to death after an argument in the convenience store Saturday afternoon, police said yesterday.John Howard Johnson of Cockeysville was charged with first-degree murder and a handgun violation, police said.The victim, whom police have not been able to identify, was shot once in the back inside the bay door of an auto repair shop three blocks from the convenience store on Reisterstown Road near the Baltimore County line.
