Manager Sam Perlozzo described Luis Terrero as someone who can play all three outfield positions, provide a right-handed bat and run and throw a little. "He's kind of a whole-package guy," Perlozzo said. Perlozzo explained Val Majewski's one-day stay as the Orioles needing a "quick fix" when David Newhan fractured his fibula and Luis Matos was unavailable because of a sore shoulder. Majewski was on the 40-man roster. A space couldn't be cleared for Terrero until the club knew that Tim Byrdak's sore elbow was bad enough to put him on the disabled list - and warrant a transfer to the 60-day DL yesterday.
