Two Woodlawn youths were arrested early Saturday on charges of theft and possession of burglar tools after they were caught stealing a car in the village of Long Reach, Howard County Police said.The 15-year-olds were breaking into a 1992 Honda Accord at 1:45 a.m. in the 6100 block of Major's Lane in Columbia when residents alerted police, officers said. On arriving, police said, they saw the teen-agers driving the car out of the Treover Condominiums parking lot. When the boys caught sight of police, they left the car and fled on foot toward Jeffers Hill Elementary, where a K-9 officer apprehended them.

POLICE LOG* Brooklyn Park:A lawn mower worth between $200 and $300 was stolen from the shed of a home in the unit block of Church Street Monday.* Brooklyn Park:Thieves broke into the K&T Body Shop Friday night and stole a car that had been in the lot for repairs.Police said thieves smashed a window out of the office in the 5800 block of Ritchie Highway and took several sets of keys that were hanging on a peg board. A 1992 Honda Accord was then taken.
