Varsity roundup: Conrad's third goal lifts Loyola over Calvert Hall, 3-2, in overtime

Ryan Conrad completed his hat trick two minutes into overtime assisted by Gavin Barger to lift No. 3 host Loyola Blakefield over No. 11 Calvert Hall, 3-2, in boys soccer Wednesday.

Conrad gave the Dons (8-2) a 1-0 lead midway through the first and added his second goal on a two-on-one fast break for a 2-0 lead. The Cardinals (6-2-3) scored the next two. Andrew Reter had the tying goal.

Archbishop Curley 2, No. 7 C.Milton Wright 0: Tre Pulliam and Matt Brumett scored second-half goals and the host Friars (6-8) shut out the Mustangs (8-1-1).

No. 12 Dulaney 1, Eastern Tech 0: The visiting Lions (9-1) put together a set piece with 30 seconds left in the game and Brian Famile scored the game-winner from 30 yards out on a pass from Cameron Carter. The Mavericks fell to 5-3.

No. 14 Archbishop Spalding 5, Mount Saint Joseph 2: Hunter Alchin had two goals and two assists to power the Cavaliers (5-7-1) past the host Gaels (1-8-3). Aaron Barclay scored the first two goals and assisted on the final Spalding score.

Girls soccer

John Carroll 1, No. 10 Severn 0: Kristen Isoldi scored the only goal 10 minutes into the game on a pass from Gabby Centi as the host Patriots (3-6) upset the Admirals (11-4).

Field hockey

No. 6 Century 4, Winters Mill 0: Caitie Pluta had two saves and Eliza Lortie had three as the visiting Knights (9-1-1) recorded their fifth shutout of the season.

The Falcons fell to 5-4.
