Fallston beats Tech, North Harford shuts out Bel Air in boys volleyball

In a light day in boys volleyball Friday Fallston beat Harford Tech, 3-1, and North Harford beat Bel Air, 3-0.

The Cougars lost the first set, 25-16, but battled back to take the next three, 25-19, 25-15 and 25-18.

Leading the way was Conner Newcomb with 32 assists and three blocks. Garret Krug and Austin Hale each had 15 kills, and Jake Richards, Ryan Constatine and Matt Clafee had a total nine kills. Also contributing to the win were Matt Shapiro, Dalton Chenoworth and Collin Copper.

In the North Harford-Bel Air match, the Hawks won by scores of 25-22, 25-9 and 25-18. 

The Hawks were led by Jake Knox, who had six kills.

Leading Bel Air were Joey Caudill, one ace, one kill and 13 assists; Josh Bavis, 10 kills; and Gavin Hanley, one ace and four kills.
