Cuz We Care

This nonprofit is dedicated to helping families who have lost a child to pay for final arrangements. Volunteers are needed to help with occasional community fund raising events to support this mission. Information: 410-519-7317 or cuzwecare.net.

Community center

Patapsco greenway

Volunteers are needed at Patapsco Heritage Greenway for ongoing projects throughout the year. Opportunities are listed on the events calendar of the website, patapscoheritagegreenway.org.

YMCA of Central Maryland

Volunteers 18 and older are needed as instructors in after school youth activities weekdays for children ages 5-11 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at various schools throughout the county. Volunteers are also needed before and after school to work with elementary school children providing enrichment activities including homework assistance, reading, making snacks, and doing arts and crafts projects. Volunteers need not have prior training as they will work with trained, paid instructors. Volunteers working with youth must complete a background screening and fingerprinting process.
