Ready for a good scare?

The opening night party at Bennett’s Curse Haunted Attractions in Jessup will be 7 p.m. Sept. 26, and the party's getting some good national exposure.

This year, Bennett’s Curse will be featured by the Travel Channel for the sixth time. A Travel Channel spokeswoman confirmed the opening night will be filmed for its special web series “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions.”

She says Bennett’s was chosen for “its realistic sets, trained actors and having the scariest animatronic monsters in the industry.”

“We are very excited about the filming,” says Jill Bennett, who owns the self-guided haunted houses and often watches the Travel Channel with her husband, Allan. “It’s such an honor to be highlighted.”

Bennett’s Curse was featured on the network’s “Making Monsters” in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as well as “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions” in 2008 and 2013.

A former television show, “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions” now airs as a digital series.

The four to five minute webisode will air on travelchannel.com in mid-October, but until then check out Bennett’s for yourself from Sept. 26 to Oct. 30. General admission is $30, speed passes are $45 and VIP tickets are $60. Bennett’s Curse Haunted Attractions is located at Blobs Park – F7967 Max Blobs Park Road, Jessup.
