Miss Maryland didn't take home the top prize at last night's Miss America competition, but she did win an award for having a fit body.

Sporting a pink bikini, Jade Kenny was named Thursday night’s preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner in the 2015 Miss America Competition.

Originally from the Eastern Shore, Kenny, 23, represented Allegany County in the Miss Maryland pageant before moving on to compete in the 88th Miss America pageant in Atlantic City this month.

Kenny began competing in pageants at the age of 13 in hopes of earning scholarship money for college. She said she has always felt very passionate about her platform, the Rainbows organization, which helps children deal with the grief that accompanies a major life crisis.

Last May, Kenny graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in sports broadcasting. She currently lives in Silver Spring where she works in marketing and advertising for CBS Sports. She said she wants to be a sports agent.

Kenny received a $1000 scholarship with her Lifestyle and Fitness award.

Kira Kazantsev was crowned Miss America at last night's ceremony, after an unusual performance that involved tapping a red cup on the floor while singing Pharrell's "Happy," as inspired by the movie "Pitch Perfect." She is the third consecutive Miss New York to receive the top prize. Her platform was domestic violence.
