September 12, 2014|By Scott Dance, The Baltimore Sun

Cool air is forecast to descend on the region Friday and stick around for a while, with highs forecast in the 70s through at least the next five days.

Highs are forecast in the mid-70s Friday with partly cloudy skies.

Highs are forecast in the lower 70s, with lows in the 50s and lower 60s, through at least Tuesday. Low humidity is also expected, with dew points mostly in the 50s.

A 50 percent chance of showers is expected Saturday, potentially dampening the Star-Spangled Spectacular festivities.

Rain is also likely early next week.
