Man killed in West Baltimore, two others shot

Woman injured in McCulloh Homes; third victim shot in head in Carroll Park

A man was fatally shot in West Baltimore and a woman shot and injured near the McCulloh Homes public housing community overnight, police said.

Then, another man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head in the southwest part of the city Thursday night, police said.

In the fatal shooting, the victim was found shot in the head in the 2900 block of Arunah Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Thursday, and was pronounced dead by medics about 10 minutes later. The man has not yet been publicly identified and police did not release more details about the circumstances or a possible suspect or motive. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2100.

A woman took herself to a hospital for treatment shortly before midnight Wednesday with a gunshot wound to her thigh and told police she had been shot in the 1000 block of Madison Avenue in the Upton neighborhood. Police did not release more details about the circumstances or a possible suspect or motive but said she was expected to survive.

Police were in the 900 block of Bayard St. in the Carroll Park section of Southwest Baltimore Thursday evening, where the third victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot. He was expected to survive. No suspect or motive was identified, and Southwest District detectives were investigating.
