Ravens to offer jersey exchange for Ray Rice jerseys at stadium stores

Details are pending

September 09, 2014|By Aaron Wilson | The Baltimore Sun

The Ravens are offering a large-scale exchange of Ray Rice jerseys next week at M&T Bank Stadium.

Rice's $35 million contract was terminated Monday, and he's been indefinitely suspended by the NFL after a graphic video surfaced of him punching Janay Palmer in the elevator of Revel Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., in February.

The exchanges are set for Sept. 19 and Sept. 20, allowing fans to exchange the Rice jersey for an available jersey of another Ravens player.

There's no jersey exchange for Thursday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Under the details of the jersey exchange, the jersey must be officially licensed by the NFL, be manufactured by Nike or Reebok, have been purchased or been available for purchase at the Ravens' team store at M&T Bank Stadium or the Ravens' official team store online at baltimoreravensshop.com or shop.baltimorerasvens.com.

Exchanges have to be done in person to verify that products are licensed. A licensing expert representing the NFL will be on site to verify that jerseys qualify for exchanges.

Recipients will receive Nike replica jerseys based on availability at the time of exchange. The exhange is limited to one jersey per person.

The Ray Rice jersey exchange will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20 at M&T Bank Stadium inside the northwest concourse and team store at Section 140. Fans are instructed to enter the stadium at Gate A with parking available in Lot B on the north side of the stadium.
