Kevin Frazier’s latest gig starts this evening, Sept. 9, as he takes over as co-anchor of the syndicated entertainment news show “Entertainment Tonight.”

Formerly of TV’s “The Insider,” Frazier, 50, will share hosting duties with "ET" veteran Nancy O’Dell. He replaces Rob Marciano, who left the show in July to join ABC News and “Good Morning America.”

“Kevin lives and breathes entertainment news; he is the ultimate professional and has a phenomenal relationship with Nancy,” Brad Bessey, executive producer of “Entertainment Tonight,” says in a story that ran in Variety when Frazier’s arrival was announced.

On a video clip posted on the "Entertainment Tonight" website titled "10 Things You Need to Know About ET’s New Anchor!" Frazier drops a few tidbits about himself.

He says he’s a big fan of the soundtrack from the film “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” would rather live in Los Angeles than anywhere else (sorry, Columbia), wants actor Michael B. Jordan to play him onscreen and suffers from a serious tech addiction. “I can’t even tell you how many phones I have,” he says, adding with a smile, “I have a problem.”

He also says that his great aunt was educator Septima Poinsette Clark, a civil rights leader referred to by no less than Martin Luther King Jr. as the “mother of the Movement.”

Frazier, who once worked as a cameraman and occasional on-air contributor for sports at Baltimore’s WBFF, Channel 45, is the son of former Morgan State University basketball coach Nat Frazier.

“Entertainment Tonight” airs locally at 7:30 p.m. on WJZ, Channel 13.
