Howard County executive candidate would hit the ground running [Letter]

September 05, 2014

We are lucky in Howard County to have in Courtney Watson a candidate for county executive who is well-prepared to step in to the job ("Howard County executive candidate Watson unveils education platform," Sept. 2).

After serving four years on the school board and 8 years on the county council, Ms. Watson is ready to take the helm and continue leading this county in the right direction. She is a strong supporter of our world-class school system, she believes in providing the best available training for police and fire personnel and she has a unique understanding of economic development.

Her record of accomplishment speaks for itself. We look forward to having a leader who shares our values and priorities and who can put them in to action on Day 1 of her term.

Wendy J. Royalty, Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz, and Wendy Moomaw
