'Spamalot'

The Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre closes its season with Monty Python's outrageous musical retelling of King Arthur and his knights of the round table at 143 Compromise St. Shows at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays through Aug. 31. Lighthouse tours

Tours of the Thomas Point Shoal Light will be held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Aug. 16, 30; Sept. 6, 13; and Oct. 4, 11. Visitors can learn about how lighthouse keepers lived, other lighthouses on the Chesapeake Bay and how many are still around. Tickets are $70 per person. Reservations required. Wrestling night

The Bowie Baysox sponsors "Legends of Wrestling Night" Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Prince George's Stadium as the team takes on the Reading Fightin Phils at 6:35 p.m. Event features a special appearance by six-time WWF/WCW World Champion and former Olympic gold medalist wrestler Kurt Angle. Operation Paperback

This nonprofit organization collects used books nationwide and sends them to U.S. troops deployed overseas. Since 1999, more than 1 million books have been shipped to military personnel around the world. Organizing the effort in this area is Sandy Marron of Annapolis. Pool is open

The Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park is open daily for the summer season until Labor Day at 251 Pump House Road in Annapolis. Hours of operation are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. weekends and holidays; 12:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, there will be lap swimming from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Daily pool rates and season pass information can be found at annapolis.gov/recreation. Commercially made bathing suits are required. Swim diapers, plus eco-suits, are required for children who are not toilet-trained. Beginner, intermediate and advanced swimming lessons are offered. Register your bike

The Annapolis Police Department is sponsoring a bicycle registration program. The owner's name, address and phone number and the bike's serial number, manufacturer and color are recorded in the department's database. Registration is available to any Annapolis resident. To schedule an appointment, contact Cpl. Craig Medley at 410-268-9000, ext. 7225, or cemedley@annapolis.gov. Owners must bring their bikes when registering. Neighborhood associations should contact Medley if they want to hold a community registration.
