Ravens to unveil donated Under Armour high school uniforms Wednesday

The Ravens and Under Armour will debut the uniforms they are donating to 24 city public high school football and girls basketball teams Wednesday at the Under Armour Campus promenade, at 1020 Hull St. Each school will receive new home and away uniforms, funded by the Ravens Foundation and Under Armour. Former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will be on hand to congratulate the students and wish them luck in their upcoming seasons.

Ohio Machine attackman Marcus Holman (Gilman) was named Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after he scored six goals in a 17-15 win Saturday against the Rochester Rattlers. New York Lizards defender Joe Fletcher (Loyola Maryland) was honored as Warrior Defensive Player of the Week after the team's 12-11 win Friday over the Charlotte Hounds.

NFL: The Washington Redskins waived injured wide receiver Jerry Rice Jr. three days after he tore the labrum in his left shoulder, according to the NFL's daily transaction report.

WNBA: Seattle Storm forward Crystal Langhorne (Maryland) had a double double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, in the Storm's 71-65 win Sunday against the visiting San Antonio Stars. … Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas (Maryland) had 11 points and eight rebounds in a 70-69 loss to the host Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday. Sparks guard Kristi Toliver (Maryland) hit the game-winning 3-pointer, her only points of the game. … Atlanta Dream forward Angel McCoughtry (St. Frances) had 28 points and six rebounds in an 83-76 loss to the visiting New York Liberty on Sunday.

Running: Cockeysville native Billy Busko finished first among men ages 50 to 54 in the New York City Triathlon on Sunday, finishing in 2 hours, 5 minutes. He placed 50th overall among all finishers.

Gymnastics: Maggie Musselman of Crownsville and Hannah Joyner of Waldorf finished 26th and 36th in the all-around in the junior division of the Secret U.S. Classic on Saturday at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Golf: Keegan Boone (Loyola Maryland, Bethesda) won the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association's annual Young Amateurs championship at Montgomery Country Club. Matt Oshrine (Loyola Maryland, Baltimore) finished second.

Roller Derby: The Charm City Roller Girls All Stars qualified as the fourth seed for the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division 1 Playoffs, which take place in Salt Lake City from Sept. 26 to 28.
