Police said that the victim was shot in the back, shoulder and hip in the 1600 block of Eutaw Pl. just before noon and was determined to be in "good" condition. A motive was unknown.

At the scene, police taped surrounded a vehicle had come to rest on a wide grassy median, and two vehicles appeared to have also collided near Wilson Street and Eutaw Place. But police later said the car accident was unrelated to the shooting.

Officers could be seen scouring nearby McMechen Street including the property of Eutaw-Marshburn Elementary School for evidence.
