A man was shot and another was stabbed Monday night, police said, after a weekend of violence in which eight people were shot — one of them fatally — across the city.

A man walked into a Baltimore hospital at about 6 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, police said. He told officers he was shot in the 2400 block of Frederick Avenue in Shipley Hill.

Southwest District detectives are investigating and anyone with information may call 410-396-2488.

Around 10:20 p.m., a man was stabbed in the neck in the Hillen neighborhood in Northeast Baltimore, police said. His injuries were not expected to be fatal, but his condition was not released.

Investigators believe the stabbing may have happened after a dispute, but no suspect has been identified. Northeast District Detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2444.
